What is the best day to see the show if you want to sit with a smaller crowd? Weekday performances (Sunday thru Thursday) are best if you prefer a smaller audience. However, we do sell out a number of our weekday shows.
What is the best show of the week? All shows are ALL PRO, ALL THE TIME. Unlike other clubs, we do not mix in amateur comics with any of our professional shows! Weekday shows (Sunday thru Thursday) feature an emcee plus 8 comics (2.5 hours long). Weekend shows (Friday & Saturday) feature an emcee plus 4 comics (1.5 hours long). The quality remains the same for all shows. The chance of one of our famous alumni comics stopping by for a surprise set is the same for weekday as weekend.

Do you offer comedy classes? And why is your class better than others? Yes, we do. Please call the club directly at 212-861-9386 from 12 noon to midnight., Monday-Friday. We will give you more detailed information about our eight-week stand-up comedy class. It is called a comedy class, but it is really all about becoming a winner. As to why our class is better than the rest.... In D.F. Sweedler we have one of the few master comic craftsmen around. He started his own comic career before we opened our club in 1976. We have been lucky to have him as both a performer and a teacher. He is highly respected by his peers and is sought after for his advice on fixing a bit (just like they would ask Jerry Seinfeld when he started here in '76).
